Environmental, Health, Safety & Security Manager

The Environmental, Health, Safety and Security  Manager is responsible for maintaining the site in full compliance to relevant EHS regulations, being the technical expert in EHS, and leading a culture that is safe for employees and minimizing risk to the environment.  In addition, this role is responsible for maintaining the site's security systems to minimize the risk of property loss, and controlling access to the building.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Safety:  Accountable for 1. Knowing and communicating all applicable Federal and State OSHA regulations; 2. Establishing and driving the continuous improvement of a system to ensure a safe working environment; 3. Periodically audit the compliance to the established safety system, 4. Driving the correction of audit findings, 5. Maintaining OSHA logs for reported accidents, and 6. Hosting 3rd party inspectors/auditors and timely responses to their findings.

Security:  Accountable for 1. Maintaining contracts with 3rd party security service providers, 2. Performing investigations of reported thefts, 3.  Maintaining the building's access control system.

In addition, this position will be responsible to 1. Oversee and coordinate the Nobel Biocare Yorba Linda Emergency Response Team, 2. Oversee the Safety Committee, 3. Be the site's subject matter expert for Safety, Environmental, Security and Training, and provide appropriate training to all levels of the organization in those topics, 4. Elevate important issues quickly to upper management to increase awareness.

Critical Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university, envrionmental health & safety, engineering or related field preferred.
  • Certification in Safety (CSP) preferred
  • English language is mandatory; other languages is a benefit

Critical Skills/technical know-how: 

  • Ability to engage and train others regarding safety, first-aid, security, and disaster response systems.

Critical Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience, and a minimum of 2 years in a ledership role, with emphasis in documentation and compliance, specifically related to FDA's QSR Regulations, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, Federal/Cal OSHA and Local Safety regulations, IT and Physical/Facility security.
